Aerial Crop Dusting Services

Crop dusting saves an agricultural landowner time and money. Liquid or dry fungicides, herbicides, insecticides, and fertilizers are applied through an aerial spraying apparatus. As a result, crops remain protected and have a great chance of thriving.

Crop Loss Triggers

Crop loss can be caused by disease, inadequate watering, overcrowding, insect infestations, and over or under fertilization efforts. Expansive plots that cover many acres can be difficult to keep maintained. An agricultural landowner who relies upon ground care strategies may need to hire a group of people to tend to a series of crops. If crop loss is endured, a farmland owner's business endeavors may suffer. They may not make enough money to support cultivation and harvesting tasks.

Aerial Treatment Plans

Aerial agricultural treatments may be referred to as crop dusting practices. A client will provide details about where their farmland is located. Some aerial treatment providers may furnish an online map that a client can use to mark where their land ends and begins. The location of the crops, the size of the plot, and the condition of the crops may reflect upon the treatment processes that will be performed.

If a client has encountered bug infestations on multiple occasions, they can tell the crop dusting manager about this problem. The manager will devise a spray plan. The products that will be used will be formulated to treat specific issues that a property owner has dealt with in the past.

The Spraying Process

A helicopter is typically used during crop spraying sessions. A light-duty agricultural helicopter is easier to maneuver than a larger aircraft. The person who will be administering the treatment will prepare the products in advance. A large sprayer will extend outward from a helicopter. Dry or wet products will be applied evenly to all of the crops that are contained within a plot.

The helicopter will hover overhead and will move across the expanse of land. Some crop dusting companies will reseed areas in need. If a reseeding service is offered, a client can identify the crops that they are growing. A reseeding process will aid with keeping crops growing on a recurring basis. The crops that are currently growing will eventually yield cash. The new seeds will sprout soon afterward and can be harvested after the initial batch of crops have been picked. Spraying processes can be conducted at regularly-scheduled times.
